Hooge Crater Museum in Ypres, the best private museum in the region. With its life-sized reconstructions of World War I scenes, extensive collection of weapons, equipment and photographs, this museum is a true must-visit.

The revamped Passchendaele Museum offers a deeper insight into the history of the Battle of Passchendaele. 

With an updated storyline enriched by personal accounts and authentic artifacts and trenches, the story of World War I truly comes to life within the castle walls.

The Hill 62 Museum in Ypres commemorates World War I and highlights its impact on both soldiers and civilians. With unique artifacts, the museum offers a powerful and moving experience.

The Menin Gate in Ypres commemorates the fallen soldiers of World War I. Every evening at 8 PM, the Last Post is played—a tribute bringing together  many visitors from all over the world. It is a moving ceremony that keeps the memory of the war alive.

The museum takes you on a journey through World War I in the West Flanders front region. It is housed in the rebuilt historical Cloth Halls of Ypres, an important symbol of wartime suffering and rebirth.

CWGC Tyne Cot Cemetery is an impressive and serene beacon of peace stretching across the former war landscape. With 11,956 graves, it is the largest Commonwealth cemetery in the world.

Bayernwald, a site in Wijtschate, offers a unique view of trench warfare from the German perspective. The restored trenches, bunkers, and mine shafts show how the German troops experienced trench warfare and defended their position.

The Museum Aan de IJzer is located at the European Peace Site ‘Aan de IJzer,’ which includes the Pax Gate, the IJzer Crypt, and the IJzer Tower.

The IJzer Tower houses a 22-story interactive museum about war and peace.
From the rooftop terrace, 84 meters high, you get a unique view over the entire front region.

The Dodengang in Diksmuide commemorates World War I and is the largest remaining trench site of the Belgian army during the war. Here, visitors learn about the battles and their impact on the region, making it an important place of remembrance.
